CARROLLTON BANK DONATES $25,000 TO
GLEN-ED PANTRY CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

Local Support Accelerates Efforts to Build New Facility to Serve Community

Jan. 7, 2026, Edwardsville, IL — Glen-Ed Pantry is proud to announce a $25,000 gift from Carrollton Bank in support of its ongoing capital campaign to construct a new, purpose-built facility that will better serve families facing food insecurity in the Edwardsville District 7 area. The donation advances the pantry’s efforts to raise funds for a permanent home that will expand service capacity, accessibility, and community resources.

Glen-Ed Pantry has been a cornerstone of community support since 1980, providing food, clothing, household supplies, and dignity to families in need. The capital campaign aims to fund a new facility that will replace the pantry’s current space, which no longer meets demand or accessibility standards. The planned building will include ADA-accessible entrances, enhanced food delivery areas, expanded storage, private client interview rooms, and multi-purpose spaces for partner services.

Matt Warren, Regional President at Carrollton Bank said, “We are honored to support Glen-Ed Pantry and its mission. Carrollton Bank believes that strong communities are built through collective action and meaningful partnerships. We hope this contribution encourages others to support the pantry’s vision for a new facility and the countless families it serves.”

This donation underscores Carrollton Bank’s ongoing commitment to community investment and local partnerships. By supporting organizations that address critical needs, the bank continues to strengthen the communities it serves.

“We are incredibly grateful to Carrollton Bank for their generous support,” said Jane Ahasay, Executive Director of Glen-Ed Pantry. “This gift will make a significant impact on our campaign, helping us move closer to a space that allows us to serve our neighbors with dignity and meet the growing needs across our community. Gifts like this inspire others to join us in creating lasting food security for families in District 7.”
