We provide food and donated clothing and household items to persons in need within the Edwardsville School District in Madison County, Illinois.

We offer food shopping inside the pantry, curbside pickup of ordered bags, as well as delivery to limited areas.

  • We have a wide variety of foods, including produce and meat. We also provide hygiene and cleaning products.

  • Appointments are recommended to avoid wait times, but walk-ins are also welcome and will be served as time allows. You can make a shopping appointment online or call us at 618-656-7506.

  • If you are ill or otherwise unable to walk through and shop, call us to make a curbside pickup appointment.

  • You can shop for groceries and toiletries once every 30 days. In addition to that visit, you can come as often as you like on Wednesdays for fresh produce and bread as available. The amounts and types of produce will vary by week and season.

  • If you are disabled, elderly, or have no transportation, we can deliver to you. Please call 618-656-7506.

If you receive SNAP benefits, you qualify for assistance at Glen-Ed Pantry, and you can use both programs throughout the month.

If you do not live in Edwardsville School District, you can attend our monthly public food distribution event. It is open to anyone in need regardless of where you live. On the 3rd Wednesday of every month, St Louis Area Foodbank provides pallets of food, and we arrange it on tables for people to shop for free from 3pm to 7pm. It is held outside the pantry.

We offer financial assistance for utilities only. Assistance is available for a maximum of $100 one time per year. We can also help you apply for utility assistance through IHEAP (Illinois Home Energy Assistance Program).
