Host a Food Drive for the Glen-Ed Pantry!

Looking to make a difference in your community?

Hosting a food drive is a powerful way to help fight hunger right here in the Edwardsville School District #7 area. Whether you’re a business, school, church, club, or an individual - anyone can get involved and help provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need.

By hosting a food drive, you’re helping the Glen-Ed Pantry put a stop to food insecurity in our region.

A food drive can:

  • Provide thousands of meals for local families

  • Raise awareness about hunger in our community

  • Bring people together for a shared cause

  • Teach compassion and responsibility to students, scouts, and youth groups

But how do you get started? Here’s a few simple steps!

  1. Pick your dates: Decide when and how long your drive will run. We recommend at least 1-2 weeks for the best participation

  2. Register Your Drive: Let us know you’re hosting a drive! Contact us

  3. Promote Your Drive: Use Flyers, e-mails, social media, and word of mouth. Check back soon for a FREE toolkit!

  4. Collect Donations: Make it easy for people to give! Set up barrels or boxes in high-traffic areas within a business or across local businesses. Encourage friendly competition between teams or departments

  5. Wrap it up: Once your drive is done, coordinate with us for pick-up / drop-off and we’ll let you know how many pounds of food and meals you helped provide!
